Keep your thermostat above 66.
Turn the ceiling fans on counter clockwise .
Open the cabinet doors under sinks.
Plug air-drafts around windows and doors.
Cover/Drain your outside spigots.
Cover/Drain your sprinkler back flow.
Cover exposed pipes.
Leave the inside faucet dripping that is farthest from where the water enters the house.
If you suspect a frozen pipe
Leave the faucet open
Heat the pipe with a hair dryer, heating pad, space heater or warm towel.
Do not heat the pipe with an open flame
Check all the spigots/faucets for water flow.
